Additional Info: Mers-Les-Bains (the sea baths) wall hanging is inspired by the poster art of the French artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901), the post impressionist painter who is best known for his prints and posters in the Art Nouveau style depicting the Bohemian lifestyle of Paris of the late 19th Century. Toulouse-Lautrec’s posters had a marked effect on advertising at the time as typified by the example Mers-Les-Bains a seaside resort in Northern France.
